I started with vocal B-flat vocal tones (the U.S. electrical grid hums at around 60 Hz, roughly a B-flat) and let extended notes play out on top of pulsing hisses, beeps, and a minimal melody. I added, then chopped up, a recording featuring the 5:8:13 polyrhythm of the Earth/Venus orbital resonance playing via percussive sounds sampled from everyday objects mixed in with warped and reversed old cassette tape segments, distorted microtonal noodlings, and more bloops/bleeps.
